Sparta Ski Team Update | Jan. 10, 2019
Happy New Years To All !
It looks like Mother nature is back on our side. Finally, the temperatures have dropped, the snow flakes are gracefully falling and the snow-guns at Mountain Creek are back in action.
Sadly, our first race scheduled for today had to be postponed to Thursday January 11th. But the good news is, our racers have been working hard at mountain practices and they will be more than ready to compete at our first giant slalom race next Wednesday Jan.16th. Be sure to check the Events page and/or the online Calendar on our website often at SpartaSki.com for all the latest events and schedule changes.
On a separate note, thanks to the Sparta Ski Booster Club, all our Varsity & JV ski racers will be sporting Sparta Ski Team race suits this season.
TRANSPORTATION NOTE:
Any racers who will NOT be returning to the school on the bus after a practice or after a race, must provide Coach Porter or I, a parent signed and dated note requesting so. If you wish to take your child home on the day of the race, please note your child is required to stay and support their teammates to the end of the event. Once all our racers have finished racing and our post race team meeting is over, your child may leave the mountain with you. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Mark your calendars, our first Giant Slalom Race is Wednesday January 16th at 5pm. Come cheer on the Sparta Ski Team.
