The Sparta Ski Team captured the spotlight at the 2025 NJISRA Year-End Coaches Banquet last week. Head Coach Rod Calafati was recognized for the fourth year with the prestigious "Ski Coach of the Year" award. Furthermore, the Boys' and Girls' Ski Teams were celebrated for their exemplary conduct, earning the title of "Outstanding Sportsmanship."

Last week, Sparta captured the spotlight at the 2025 NJISRA Year-End Coaches Banquet. I was incredibly honored to receive the "Ski Coach of the Year" award from my fellow coaches for the fourth year in a row. Even more exciting, both the Boys' and Girls' Sparta Ski Teams were recognized with the "Outstanding Sportsmanship" award. Congratulations to all Spartans!
Reflecting on one of our most remarkable seasons, the memories we created together far surpass any championship trophy. Our journey was truly unique, marked by personal growth and strong teamwork. We enjoyed numerous podium finishes, navigated some challenges, and shared countless unforgettable moments that will stay with us forever.
To all the racers, parents, and coaches, thank you for making this season truly memorable.

Ryan & Pat medal at ROC! Ryan Grycuk finished 8th in slalom and 9th in Giant Slalom, while Pat Fitzsimmons took 9th in slalom. Ryan was named NJ 1st Team All-State, Pat was named 2nd Team All-State, and Finn Kowalski 3rd Team All-State.

This season has been amazing! Our girls rocked it at States, securing 5th place overall and the title of Small Public School Champion. And our Sparta Varsity Boys finished strong in 6th place! Our JV Girls also nailed it with a podium finish at JV State Championships! Bravo Spartans!
