Stratton VT Sat. 12/9 Training Details

Hello Spartans, 

The Sparta Ski team is off to a great start. Our dryland trainings have been productive and fun, and the Big Snow training this week was so valuable.

We are all excited and looking forward to training tomorrow at Stratton Mountain in Vermont. The early season conditions have been awesome. As of today, there are 38 trails open, 33 groomed to perfection. Although warmer weather is expected to roll in on Saturday, the skiing should be great.

Racers, we will meet at 9:00 am tomorrow inside the Main Base Lodge in the East Wing (closest to the village). Everyone should be booted up and ready to go. We recommend you boot up at Black Bear and walk over (wear your cat tracks) or take the free shuttle bus. Make sure you have your QR Code to pick up your lift ticket at a Pick Up Box located near guest service in front of the Main Base Lodge. Once you have your ticket, test it first at one of the RFID readers in front of the base lodge to make sure it is active! 

Please come prepared with the following:

• Slalom skis, boots, ski poles, helmet, goggles, gloves, etc.
• Hand/ foot warmers
• Guards: Have them ready if needed - Shin guards, chin guards & pole guards. 
• If skiing on Sunday be prepared for rain: rain poncho,  Large garbage bag, rubber gloves

Please Note: NO bags can be left in the dining areas at the base lodge, there is a bag check near the gondola outside, there are lockers downstairs or bags can be left on hooks outside in front of the main base lodge.

Saturday 12/9 Training Schedule: 

• Team Jacket Pickup: 7:45 am in the lobby at Black Bear Lodge
• Morning Session: 9 am to 12:30 pm
• Lunch Break:  12:30 pm  to 1:30 pm
• Afternoon Session: 1:30 pm to 4 pm
