Hello Racers and Parents,
I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday break. I wanted to take this opportunity, to thank all our racers who worked hard during dry-land training. A good number of you never missed a practice, not even a leg blaster! Your dedication and enthusiasm is really inspiring and will be rewarded. I would also like to thank our Ski Team Captains and our Assistants for their leadership and help during dry-land training. Your willingness to work extra hard has motivated us all and I commend your commitment and passion to this team!
Due to the numerous school closures and the forced late start to the season, it was a challenge getting our racers to complete the minimum state required dry-land practices; especially those that missed two or more practices, but I am proud to announce, we did it! At this time I want to stress that "Attendance Is Mandatory", unexcused absences will have consequences. Please familiarize yourself with the Ski Team Attendance Policy.
Mountain training will begin on Thursday January 2nd. Please take this time to obtain your Mountain Creek pass and try to get in some mileage on your race skis. Your race skis should be tuned and waxed before our first mountain practice. If you have Giant Slalom skis, bring them to practice, otherwise bring in your slalom race skis. On practices days, the bus will leave for the mountain right after school and is expected to return to the high school around 6:45pm. All racers must ride the bus to and from the mountain.
New team photos have been posted to the website Photo Gallery. Please send in your team photos and videos so that we can post them on the website and share them with everyone. Email them to race@SpartaSki.com
I want to thank the Ski Booster Club, the parents and racers who helped make the Ski Swap & the Killington Weekend another great success.
