Hello Spartans,
It’s been a most challenging winter for the NJISRA to hold alpine races. Over the past three weeks, we have enjoyed superior training at Blue Mountain and our athletes have made great progress. Hopefully, Mother Nature will be kind to us this week and we can make Friday's race a reality. Had our original race schedule stuck, we would be halfway through our season, done with slalom races, and gearing up for Giant Slalom. With the recent snow and cold temps, all four mountains have expanded their trail counts and opened up their race trails. This week’s training and race on Friday has been changed to slalom. A new schedule will be forthcoming. Please continue to keep your calendars open, any day, weekend or holiday could potentially be a practice or race. Check the ski team CALENDAR regularly for the daily practice/race schedule.
Congratulations to Sparta Senior Madison Campisi for being named a Ski Team Captain. We are excited for Madison to lead our team!
Cheer on the Sparta Ski Team at our first race of the season on Friday, Jan. 26th at Blue Mountain. All spectators are required to complete a waiver - see event for more details.
