Ski Team Update Jan 3rd
Happy New Year! I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday and was able to get in some skiing.
Sadly, the rain and warm weather are taking a toll on our local mountains, and most have closed temporarily. All gate training and races are canceled this week. This week's slalom race is rescheduled to next Friday, January 13th. The race originally scheduled for that date is expected to be rescheduled.
We will take advantage of the downtime and hold another dryland practice tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 4th after school.
And on Thursday, Jan. 5th we will ski at Big Snow American Dream. Thank You Big Snow for offering the Sparta Ski Team a discounted $40 rate to conduct practice. Tickets must be purchased no later than 7 pm Wed Jan 4th. Link to purchase tickets: https://bigsnow.snowcloud.group/access/F1E64

On Friday, Jan 6th we will be training at Blue Mountain in PA (weather permitting).
Keep in mind, every year our schedule changes due to weather, this is why it is important that everyone keep their calendars open through February, including weekends and holidays, and check the calendar often for schedule changes.

All athletes and coaches must fill out a waiver. Every racer and coach must register by January 4, 2023. Waivers are posted by the school name on AdminSkiRacing. There is NO fee to register.
